Hello all,

I have an x299 system with a 2080ti Founders that I'm running. I've never really had to set up a fan curve or watch for thermals before. I have Corsair maglev fans in my case. Two 140mm intakes and one 120mm exhaust. My CPU is air cooled with a Noctua DH-15, I think it's called. I have an AsRock Tiachi MOBO and just recently set up their fan settings. But now it just sits the fans at their lowest available setting or something like that. What is something I can do or download and use that would be most beneficial to both my CPU and GPU. As I'm not super worried, but slightly worried about keeping temps down on my Founder's Edition card, cuz we all know they're not as good as other aftermarket coolers. Thank you in advance!

I used this program to control the fan for my rad on my 1070 hybrid. You can set up a fan curve based on the GPU temperature, plus it monitors a bunch of other things.

It only has a 30-day trial, but you can buy a 1 year license for $8.50 or a 3 year for $17.50 if you end up liking it.

Thanks for the suggestion man. I just ended up going with SpeedFan and manually controlling the fans. Can't really figure out how to set up the sensors to speed the fans up when the temps get higher, but I'll play with it till I do

You do that from advanced setting, if your sensors are showing correct temps. You may also need to set controlling to be done by software instead of BIOS.

From Fan Control tab you create profiles for each fan controller chip. Currect mobos usually have controller for each of fans. These are same which are shown as manual dials in main screen. Meaning that naming scheme is same. You may need to note which controller handles which fan. The other dropdown is for situations where you would use more than one temp sensor. If you use only one, it doesn't matter which is selected. Then press Add and select temp sensor to follow. Now you can set curve.

PWM sensors allow more variablity, but I would advice that you check with manual controls which are speeds and temps you are looking for. At what point you want CPU cooler to start, at what speed its too noisy and so on. You should also set Warning temp from Temperatures tab to point where you want fans to go full speed.
