I have had my 1800X for a while now however have had to reset CMOS a couple of times, motherboard issues I assume. Before, I was able to run my 1800X @ 4GHz pretty nicley, but now its seems impossible. Now I am not saying it is because its CMOS, that's just why the OC was removed.

I've tried 4GHz with 1.4V, only to see if it was stable, and even went down to 3.8GHz with it still being unstable. I used Cinebench to get a quick validation if its likley stable then use Aida to do a longer test.

Have I just degraded my CPU too much?

Specs:

CPU: 1800X (obviously :p )

Mobo: MSI X370 SLI Plus

Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62, although I'm pretty sure its not a temps issue

Memory: 2x 4GB Cosair Vengence 3000MHz, however I have let the speed on auto.

Any ideas? I have heard Ryzen 1st gen has issues with memory so could it be that?
