Need Help Solo Mining Litecoins / Setup P2pool

Me and my boss are trying to gain some extra money by mining litecoins. We (I) have build a pretty decent miner as proof of concept. I tried some pools but I only got about 0.01 LTC a day while I was mining at 630 k/Hash. After those dissapointing results we decided to go solo, although we don't have a huge setup. Please no comments about that we should try a pool, we don't trust them anymore.

 

First I tried to directly connect cgminer to the wallet, but I only got an error that my login credentials where incorrect (???). Then I tried to create our own pool with P2Pool. This works a little bit. Cgminer now starts, but inmediatly shuts down (0.5 seconds later). I now changed to reaper which gives me lower hashes (about 550) with the same settings. 

The main problem is that I get a huge amount of stales (i guess 70% or more) and that P2Pool gives the error: "Couldn't link returned work's merkle root with its handler. This should only happen if  this process was recently restarted".

 

Does anyone know how to fix it? I couldn't find the solution.

So when I do mining I get 300k/hashs which gets me about 1 litecoin a day.

 

I use the pool: Coinotron.com

I didn't use that pool. All the other pools that i tried show about 1/10th of my real hash rate (which explains the low payout i guess). I do use an scrypt miner (cgminer)

Well if you are mining round based pay per share and join in the middle of the round, it will be low.

The pool's never picked up my hashrate (or where lieing) so that was the problem. I did changed to the pool you suggested and now I get around 1.5-1.6 LTC/day.
