I have a dual shock 4 controller and a switch pro controller. Both seem to be picked up by windows. They show up in the Bluetooth devices and programs like ds4 windows and betterjoycon for cemu find the respective controllers. But steam does not detect either of the controllers. I have had both work with steam in the past. I don't know what would cause this, so far I've restarted my pc and set steam from the beta client back to the main branch client. Thanks for the help!

If windows is detecting the controller.
Open steam, Go to controller settings uncheck all controller options. Save and restart steam.
Go back into steam, turn on all of these options again, Reboot steam again and see how you go.
Apparantly a recent steam update broke controller support.
It was patched but some people are still having issues, this appears to work for most people, although some people are reporting that they have to completely remove and re-install steam to get it to work.
