i will wait for the ryzen 3000

You should also wait for Navi. It comes out as the same time. Even if you don't want it, it's worth waiting because it will cause a price drop of AMDs old cards and Nvidia might cut prices a little as well.

Personally, I'd wait until AMD drops their new line of GPUs as well. You currently play 1080p at over 60 FPS, but what happens when 1440 becomes the norm, and then your graphics card is out of juice? The new AMD GPU cards seem to be talked about with pretty good pricing form the little that I have read. Not only is this good for people like you and I (those wanting to build a new system), but good for people wanting to upgrade because it will bring prices of the Nvidia cards down due to competition from AMD.

I play at 1080P and depending on the game my little GTX 1050 will pull its own over 100 FPS. Depending on graphics settings of course. So many GPUs can do 1080p at over 60 FPS, just depends on what you are willing to sacrifice. Also, if you crave the higher FPS numbers, most pros play on lower graphic settings anyways to keep their frames high and distract them less.

My First (Current) Build:

Ryzen 7 2700 (3.90 1.35v OC) | Asus Prime X470 Pro | G.Skill Ripjaws V 16gb 3200 | Inland Professional 512gb M.2 NVME | Samsung 860 Evo Sata M.2 1TB | Corsair H115i Platinum | Corsair ML 140 RGB Fans | Fractal Design Meshify C | EVGA RTX 2070 XC Ultra

Laptop:

HP Spectre X360 13t Gem Cut (i7 8565u, 240gb, 8gb mem)

My Ride:

2015 VW Golf TDI Sportwagen

Eventually an XJ manual...

Are high graphic settings a must, or do you play with "normal settings"? If that's the case, a RX 570 would do the job I think, it's very low priced and still has a lot to offer. If you wanna be safe, I'd consider buying a RX 580

RX 570 can play on ultra settings 60fps+ on 70% of games
