Hi guys, I set my case fans to idle until the CPU gets to 50℃ but they spool up when the CPU hits 40℃. Is there a way to somehow re-calibrate this temperature sensor at all? In the BIOS the curve is set to start at 50℃ but in the command centre (a form of remote BIOS) it starts at 40℃.

Also, my neighbour has the same setup as me and his fans work as he has set them in the BIOS, so I'm a little confused as to why this is happening.

Regards

Jack

If you set up a curve with the software it will not save the settings after a restart, You must set a curve in Bios.

It happened to me also, as it's my first MSI board.

I go into my BIOS, save a fan curve and exit. In the software it say that all fan curves are set 10 degrees lower than what I asked it to do in the BIOS.

Even when the fan curve is set to default it still shows up with the same discrepancy - attached.

I had this issue before I installed the software. My fans would be fine and then they would spool up just randomly due to temp spikes, so it literally sounded like it would spike to 50 degrees. Contacted AMD, they said it doesn't happen when doing desktop things like chrome and word so it must be the motherboard software, low and behold it is. MSI now have a slight grudge against me or they might just be as stumped as I am as I haven't had a reply from them in a few (working) days.

And yes, I have uninstalled all programs that use the temp sensor for the CPU.
