.NET and windows update failures
Go to solution
Solved by FlappyBoobs,
You can go down the trouble shooting path, but please take my advice and don't waste your time.
Just reinstall windows fresh and your problem will go away. MS support spent 3 months with me trying to get my work PC to update again, and in the end just said "reinstall windows".
The problem is caused by software corrupting some required system files, or by a previously stalled or incomplete updated (usually a result of not allowing the PC to turn off properly or by cancelling the installation). If you also have software from "unofficial sources" or tools that were made to stop certain services on windows 10 then when you reinstall windows don't install those tools, they cause many more problems than they solve.
