After installing my R9 290, my pc has been encountering lots of disconnection of my wifi adaptor. Previously when my old 5770 was installed no such problems occur. Is the psu being overloaded or is there something wrong with my card?

My psu is also getting real noisy, Does this have something to do with the disconnections?

Below are the specs of my rig.

Intel i5-4670k

MSI Z87 G45 Gaming board

Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X 4GB

Seasonic M12-II 650W 80+ PSU

Corsair Vengeance 8GB LP DDR3-1600 Ram

1TB WD Blue & 250GB Samsung SSD (the cheapest non evo one)

DVD drive

2X Noctua A14 fans, 1 exhaust top & back (total 4 fans)

As i read other ppl have no problem with the same 650w psu and wont make that much noise, issit possible my psu is faulty?

i would suggest putting in your old gpu and testing it ( if you have it ) if it stops it may be a faulty gpu that is causing coil whine, or provoking some sort of interference.

Apparently with my 5770 there was no problem. I dont think its coil whine its running really loud... im sure its coming from the psu

The wifi disconnection problem, does it have something to do with the power? it only happened aft i changed my gfx card...

Im not sure, but i've read that 650w shud be able to support my gpu well.

you should make sure you are running the correct and current drivers.

Correct/current means beta? or normal drivers? im pretty sure mine is updated unless u meant beta drivers.

My friend is using a 620w and supporting it well, no noisy fans whatever.

im using 13.251 catalyst. pretty sure its correct one.

When i say the psu is real loud it is REALLY LOUD. is my system overloading the PSU? Will a faulty psu cause usb devices to malfunction like what is happening to my Asus N53 adaptor now?
