So using Microsoft edge when doing a speed test for my internet I get about 150 down and 115 up. But for some reason chrome does not work at all. The search page won't even load. It keeps timing out whenever I try to load anything. Also steam refuses to load the store page but when I download a game I'm getting about 20-25 MB/s. I don't understand how in some places my wifi is fantastic and in others it's as if I'm running on 0.01 MB/s.

When talking about Steam downloads, typically Steam displays speeds by Megabytes and Kilobytes.

Steam does  not provide you the information with Megabits unless you set it as such.

Speedtest by default is Mbps, while Steam is MB/s.

The difference is multiply by 8 bits or divide by 8 bits.

your download speeds are 150Mbps, meaning Steam will display approximately 18MB/s, or as you describe 20-25 MBs.

We dont know why Chrome doesnt work for you, but clearly this is not the right channel to consult on such thing as it is related to Chrome specifically with your computer, perhaps RAM issues or the program crashes because of something.

We need more information on "what's not working".

Networking wise you are fine.

However if you have issues, there might be a problem with your router or WiFi card.
