kind of a scrub question lol

I am planning to buy a second hand pc with DDR4 memory, however, what speed to i look for?

The ram says 3000MHz on the box, but with DDR3 you see 1500MHz in HWinfo, is this the same for DDR4?

Yes, the 1500mhz clock is doubled for the effective speed of 3000mhz, hence the Double Data Rate in DDR.

3200 will show was 1600 etc etc
