can i just go to ryzen master and just put the cpu on game mode manually when i want to game?

What have you tweaked in the BIOS?

You can do that.

Honestly, I would at this point:

  • Uninstall Ryzen Master
  • Set BIOS to Optimized Defaults
  • Run Benchmark
  • See if Results are the same

My experience with Ryzen Master wasn't great and I found it to be really buggy.

hey guys.. i bought a saphire vega 56 yesterday and undervolted it. it runs stable and all that.. its perfect.

BUT... it seems that my gpu cannot unleash the full potential.

I have a 8gb ddr4 ram 1066 (single 1x8 not 2x4) and a ryzen 5 1400.. in witcher 3 at max settings i get max 53 frames which is a bit dissappointing. on the unigine heaven bench i got 1842 points.

i noticed that when i played witcher 3 the textures wouldnt load rly fast with my high settings.  ( i see a geralt with no hair then it loads.trees arent there they stuck loading first etc..)

is the CPU the problem or the ram. the frames drop also rly fast like jumping from 34 to 40 then 50 to 42 etc.. and not just witcher but many many games. In Civilazation 5 i get only 30 fps at all max

if u have some advice for me it would be rly nice :)

thank you very much

Both your CPU and RAM are issues.   Single channel RAM is bad, get another 1x8 stick of the same.  Also it's 2133 MHz RAM, not 1066.  It's doubled for DDR.

I'd grab the RAM and it should help.  I'd upgrade the CPU as well, depending on budget limitations.

Yeah, there's a lot wrong with the setup...

Your CPU isn't really that powerful and one of the cheaper Ryzens.

But the worst part is the Memory. That one really needs to go.

You need at least 2 Sticks of DDR4-2666, if possible DDR4-3000 or 3200...

i did i got 10600 points on firestrike

on user benchmark it says EVERYTHING is underpreforming drastically. even my ssd and such.

userbench:

UserBenchmarks: Game 69%, Desk 41%, Work 41%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 - 48.7%
GPU: AMD RX Vega 56 - 95.9%
SSD: Toshiba Q300 240GB - 71.7%
HDD: Samsung HD103SI 1TB - 35.8%
RAM: G.SKILL F4-2400C DDR4 1x8GB - 36.6%
MBD: MSI B350 PC MATE(MS-7A34)

i noticed my ram is 2400 but i checked on cpu-z it clearly says NB-Frequency and DRAM Frequency: 1064.5 MHz

on cpu-z ( ok i get now that this is doubled ddr thing)

germany.. the ram prices are actually pretty low. 16gb ddr4 3200 (2x8) for 80 euro will buy these now.

thank you for the advice

Can you give link for the Firestrike result?

Your proc is severely underperform, average result is 67%. Check the real time clock speed while gaming with software like HWiNFO or MSI Afterburner.

As for your RAM maybe you can try manually set it to 2400mhz in BIOS.

nah sry for now i only got the demo of it..i simply never needed to do these benchmarks before.

i bought now 16gb (2x8) ddr4 3200 ram.. i hope this will solve my problems a little. i will also google a ton about how to check the cpu and maybe fix some shit.

thank you for the help :))

i only got this but this will not help i think i will post it nontheless

Yeah those are pretty low score for your system and i don't think 1x8GB is the cause of it. Report back the result with the new RAM kit.

This should be your reference score give or take 10%. https://www.3dmark.com/fs/17585456

PM me if you need extra help, i can remote to your PC and do some basic troubleshooting for you.

i bought the 2x8 gb ram 3200 and it doesnt seem to make such an impact. on witcher 3 it runs more smoothly and the textures load a lot faster now but these framedrops are still there.

firestrike on 10900 points and unigine heaven bench at 1978 points.

is it rly the cpu is it THAT bad?? i mean i thought on most games cpu isnt so important and ryzen 5 1400 is budget but not THAT bad right?

Did you enable XMP profile for the RAM? Is it actually running @3200mhz?
Frame drop will always be there in open world game when it try to stream assets.

I gonna need Graphic score, Physic score and Combined score instead of overall score to see which one is the problem. Overall score doesn't really tell any store other than telling your PC is underperforming.

Can you download HWiNFO and run it in Sensor mode and let it run in the background while you playing your game for 5mins or so? Then upload screenshot of the sensors for CPU frequency, GPU frequency, RAM frequency and VRAM frequency.

It's going to sound weird, but check for a BIOS update.

It looks like your CPU is stuck at a low clock speed.

When I first built my rig, I had a similar problem where the multiplier would get wonky on boot with an overclock, especially with Ryzen Master, which would make my Ryzen 7 1700 run around the same clock speed locked.

Definitely go into your BIOS and update it.

I think that'll fix your problem.

i was stuck at a blackscreen at boot without even managing to get into bios cause of ryzen master

after applied gamemode and forced restart i couldnt access the pc anymore so yeah its EXTREMELY buggy i guess

got it on after cmos reset and such but yeah uninstalled that shit instantly

thank you very much

So i got a saphire vega 56 with 2 sticks of ddr4 at 3333 and a ryzen 7 2700. I am also not able to get the full potential out of the games and are getting about half the fps of every other person with a vega 56. For instance i only have 100 fps on rainbow 6 when my 1060 is hitting 110fps. U noticed im only running at 60% utilization though so i did ddu and it didnt help what can i do to fix this

i solved it after that and i noticed that somehow (maybe i was it myself long time ago) i had eh energy safe mode on windows on. i did it in the same time as the optimized default one so i dont know which one of these but after i did both of these 1. optimized defaults in bios and 2. energy mode to normal settings in windows i have a normal score in userbenchmark i guess. everything performing now way above average

1. bios set optimzed defaults

2. my bios set my ddr4 3200 on something like 2133 so i had to set this xmp profile so it can run on 3200

3. haha look if ur energy settings on windows are normal not like dumb me
