ram...is confusing.

If u arent interested in why im in this problem just skip after the line.

also excuse me for my English. did my best to fix spelling but i must have missed a shit ton.

I made a post on this way back but had a few issues down the line and had to delay buying a new set of ram for my pc.

this delay was a good idea as prices went down DRASTICALLY.

and im happy to pay less but i also started looking around more.

the main part is i own a 1920x cpu.

love this thing and as i work with 3D (i am a student)

i love the good mid point of lots of cores for graphic design and render

and still being capable gaming machine on the side.

thing is i run a sub-optimal ram choise of 2 non matching sticked of ddr4 8gb each

not...optimal for a TR.

did it because of some problems i had and sadly back then couldn't get anything better so i had to use 2 sticks i had laying around.

and running what is more or less single channel must be the stupidest thing u can do with a TR.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Long story short.

now im more stable and work been flowing i want to get myself a good set of ram!

and i saw allot advertised "for x399"

main 1 i saw was this

https://www.newegg.com/global/il-en/g-skill-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232650 (out of stock as of making this post but it gets restocked allot from what i saw)

this is great from what i see i also know amd love high frequnasy and low lac and its a samsung B die that i understood is good for amd?

so...id gess its good?

thing is...for about 50$ less i can get this..

https://www.newegg.com/global/il-en/g-skill-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232348

this ISN'T x399...but...its the same on any stat i found but lacks rgb.

that...i like but not DYING TO HAVE for the 20% higher speed rgb gives yha (its a joke chill)

what im asking is. will this do the trick? is there a REAL diffrnce.

i can leash out the 50$ i really dont mind. and rgb...is still nice to have for the cool factor.

but i just dont want to spend extra money for "HEY THIS IS BETTER CUS WE SAID SO"

thank you to any helpers

pc specs if needed from what i remember

cpu TR 1920x

mobo is a asus x399 prime-a

gpu is a asus strix 1080

psu is a rm750x

and i think thats all that could be needed to know.

thx for any helpers.

cpu: 5950x

mobo: asus tuf pro x570

gpu: 3090 FE

ram: 32gb G.SKILL Trident Z 3200 c14

psu: Antec HCP1300w Platinum (overkill i know...got it for a good price)

thats all needed right?...i didnt study for this exam....

Both of those RAM options are excellent. They are good frequency, good build, from a reputable company. The only difference is that the second one isn't tuned "For AMD", and there isn't RGB. It isn't a big deal, but if your looking for the best possible quality, take the first option. Or, if your budget allows, go for corsair dominator platinum, amazing High end ram.

Hmmmm... the F4-3200C14Q-32GTZRX is listed on the ASUS QVL report for your board whereas the F4-3200C14Q-32GTZSW isn't. That's doesn't necessarily mean that the GTZSW won't work, simply that ASUS didn't validate that kit (maybe because the kits are identical?). If you look at the B-Die Finder table, both are shown as being B-Die and appear to be the same chips. Looks like both kits are probably the same minus the RGB (you're paying $50 for the RGB on the Trident Z RGB kit).

What's your budget for ram? Dominator sets can get pretty expensive. Do you want RGB? What frequency? How many GB? Need these to narrow down results.

You can get 4x16 gb Corsair dominator sticks for just under 500 here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-dominator-platinum-rgb-64gb-4pk-16gb-3-2ghz-pc4-25600-ddr4-dimm-unbuffered-non-ecc-desktop-memory-kit-black/6337723.p?skuId=6337723
