Hi,

First of all thanks for your help!

Recently I was watching something online on youtube and my computer shut down

There was nothing else running on the computer and I was not able to power it back on again.

I tried two different power cables, tried different power source nothing..

I contacted the guy I purchased psu from and he tried to sell me another no brand PSU which I denied and he was not honoring the warranty even though I paid extra for warranty but he did suggest I take out psu and try to run it with a wire.

Before I did that I just switched off the psu with the switch on psu itself and turned it back on and voila it worked!

My system is now powered on and working without any problems.

I checked the voltage through Aida64 they appear to be normal : http://prntscr.com/nw4vgt

I also gamed heavily last day and no shut downs, etc.

But when I tried to turn on my computer it would not turn on again.

I had to press the PSU off button to turn it on and turn it back on in order to turn on my computer.

My questions are : 1st)  can some one teach me how check PSU with volt meter?

2nd) Please suggest me a cheap reliable PSU I can find in India.

3rd) How do I identify whether it is the power/on button of my case which has gone bad or the psu itself?

4th) For my setup of 1 hard disk, 7870ghz gpu and 8350. I believe 550 W should be enough or should I go with 650W?

I am currently using cooler master GX 650W. I used to have cooler master thunder 500W with the same setup which I had a lot of problems with.

Looking forward for your responses.

Thanks again for helping a brother out!
