I'll cut right to the chase: Whenever I click on my 'Library' tab in Steam, Steam outright crashes on me. IF I'm lucky enough to get into the 'Library' tab, it'll either 1) crash after a few seconds or 2) Crash when I click on a game or scroll through my games.

No idea what could be causing this. I have tried the simple "uninstall then reinstall" Steam, but that didn't do anything. Any ideas on what's going on?

Same here. Steam also causes my whole system to crash and burn. Mostly Steam.

Hey @TopWargamer

You tried reinstalling steam? As @Kamina said, could be registry issues. You could try uninstalling Steam then typing in windows taskbar Regedit and then locating the steam registry files and removing them. Then try installing it, again.

It should then see steam as a fresh install on the system so will need to verify log in details etc, when you log in.

Hope this help,

Any idea where in the registry Steam's registry files would be?

When you type "Regedit" into task bar. under the root directory of "HKEY_CURRENT_USER". Expand the "Software" branch, and scroll down until you find the folder named "Valve". That is the registry folder for steam.

Are you in the streaming beta? I've heard that's happening there. Try backdating to a stable version if you have a beta to

Ya, I'm part of the beta. How would I even backtrack though?

https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Betas#Beta_removal

go down to the beta removal section and see if it works

Uninstalling Steam then deleting the registry didn't do anything.

:/

I'm not too sure what else to do, sorry!
