The Ryzen 7 2700x had some of the pins bent but I was able to straighten them out and it sits in the socket nicely now. (I got it from a friend who bent it)

I have gone from a Ryzen 3 2200g to a Ryzen 7 2700x an there is no POST (beep or display) but the LEDs and fans are all on. keyboard and mouse LEDS are not on.

CPU: R3 2200g / R7 2700x

GPU: RX 580

RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000MHz

MoBo: Gigabyte ab-350M gaming 3

PSU: Coolermaster MasterWatt 650W

The system was working perfectly with the 2200g.

I've tried the clear cmos pins, removing the cmos battery for 5 minutes and every other component was working before the change of CPU.

Even though the pins are staright now, does that mean the CPU is dead?#

EDIT: The BIOS and drivers were all up to date before the swap.

If it's not posting then it's possible. Try removing the CPU and inspected the pins again to check for any damage you might have missed, including looking for missing pins. Can you post a photo of the CPU pins?
You might even just need to reseat it in the socket and give it a bit of a gentle wiggle.

Make sure that your monitor display cable is plugged in to your RX580 and NOT the motherboard. The Ryzen 2700x does not have integrated graphics like the 2200G does, so it will require the use of a dedicated GPU. If you're plugging in to the motherboard display ports it won't work.

Thank you for your response.

My display cable was using my RX 580 and then I also tried to use DP first and then swapped it for HDMi.

The first time it didn't post i reseated it but I didn't check the pins again. This time i have checked the pins and as far as I can tell they seem ok but I don't really know what to look for. I'm going to try and reseat it again.

The image quality is not too great. I only have an LG G6 that can take photos.

EDIT: no pins are missing it looks like

So power light turns on, lights and fans turn on, display says no signal and then black and that's it. Lights and fans still running.

Try moving your GPU to the bottom PCIe slot. I have seen in the past systems with damaged pins where some PCIe slots didn't work.

From the photos the pins look good, nothing I can see wrong with them and I can't spot any damaged or missing pins.
It looks like a little bit of thermal paste in one of the corners that appears to have leaked over from when it was applied, could do with wiping that off with some isopropyl alcohol and gently wiping it down. Doesn't look like it's enough to cause an issue, but keep in mind thermal paste can be electrically conductive so you don't really want it on the pins. May as well wipe it off while you're playing around with the CPU and while you've got it out and reseating it anyway.

The thermal paste was from my fingers but I removed as much as I could after.

There's not enough room to put the graphics card in the bottom slot sadly.
