weird crash display

follow up post to: 

okay so my gpu has started to fail now. it gives weird lines during boot and the computer just stops doing anything 5 mins after boot by showing an image like the one attached with black lines and any color background (cameras pretty shit so couldnt show it clearer) and also shows black boxes randomly on screen before crashing. will reapplying thermal paste fix it or is it a goner? xfx r9 270x 2gb btw

imean you could try to re apply thermalpaste and pads and cross ur fingers but from what ur saying it sounds like its fried.

yeah thing is after 10 reboots or so it does manage to work for like and hour but okay i get you

can be one of 10 things to be honest. are you sure everything went back as it should check that contacts etc are propper ?

the more you force it to work the more you damage it

yeah im sure about that. did take it out and reinsert it too

What is ur psu? If its old or crappy it can do that thing. Or u need to ddu ur drivers or try older drive versions
