get a kit that has the same speeds and timings as the one you have now. I've had lots of systems that were running missmatched ram kits and they got very pissy because of it. didnt want to boot right- etc. If you cannot find a kit that matches the speeds and timings as what you have, buy a single larger kit like 4x4gb and keep your current kit as a spare.

I wasn't going to put 2 ram sticks of another kit in there but 2 diferent to replace it with a higher speed

TBH its an FX8350 with a 1050 Ti. Depending on the game it could be one or the other or both. Clean windows install always speeds things up. If it were me, I'd not bother and do a new/used build. I have 16gb in my main system and if I'm honest its not enough. I do multitasking and photo editing and probably next year I'm doing a new build. Keeping my 1080 Ti, gonna do a 3900X ryzen build I think and 64GB of the fastest approved DDR4 I can find.

RAM as far as capacity goes will only be slowing you down if it fills up.

Thats true but if you search: "what happens when you don't have enough ram", on youtube and click the one with the gta 5 begining you can see my problem, i have weird lag spikes and the guy from the video says its because of my ram so is he right?
