Hello

It’s my first time on this forum. I need you to help me with two things. First, will my i7-7700k bottleneck Rtx 2080 in 1080 p games like cs:go, pubg. Currently I have it overclocked to 4,7 GHz and I’ll try to go higher maybe even to 5 GHz. Secondly, is my Be Quiet 600 W PSU going to handle all of this? I have used a few calculators and the results differ so much it’s hard for me to tell. I have: 1x HDD 2x SSD, 3x 120 mm CASE FANS and 2x 8 gb of ram. Thank you all for your answers ❤️

there isnt a single thing that will bottle neck a 7700k and a 2080 at 1080p.

It dosnt even matter if you overclock it, 1080p for hardware like that is a joke, they will both probably be at like 50-75% usage at max settings on any game currently released.

That hardware can easelly run 2k and 4k monitors.

Yeah but I’m playing on 1080 p cause I like the high FPS, it’s like a drug to me and I’ve seen that the i7 may struggle a little bit to keep up in competitive games

yea if you had a 2k monitor at 144hz that hardware can run anything at a stable 144 fps.

for 4k it will run anything at a stable 60fps (dun think it will go a stable 120 or 144fps on anything on very high settings)

1080p is literally a joke, the hardware is hardly even working. If your 1080p monitor is at 60hz, then the hardware is basically asleep.

You say you have 2x 8gb ram? Is that dual channel 8gb? Or is it 16gb. If it is 8gb that is what will bottleneck your computer. 16gb  is fine.

then personally i would recommend just capping your frames to prevents a lot of screen tearing then just run your games maxed out i know that pubg (900 hours weird flex but ok) is a very cpu intensive game so just start maxed out then if you drop frames lower foliage or the more useless settings down till you don't see frames drop and stay at that constant 144 although that doesnt really matter for cs as you could run that on an Athlon lol, so just fiddle with settings and if you do decide to upgrade monitor definitely go 1440 or if its far in the future when 4k 120 hz is readily available then go for something like that as really your bottleneck here is your monitor.
