crossfire Crossfire questions

Thinking about grabbing a second R9 390 to make it through the next console gen, recently moved out so money isnt exactly as good as it used to be. They go for 120 to 200 bucks on ebay in my area. What is crossfire gaming like? I assume it doesnt work in every game (i know it doesnt) but is it safe to assume it works in most modern games/ new releases? Can you disable a gpu in a game that doesnt run well with 2 or in a game where crossfire introduces to much input lag? (Easily without physically removing the card) Generally just curious how awful a decision this will be. Im still fine with the 390 performance as i game at 1080p, but if for 120 to 200 bucks i can get decent boosts in a few games i play frequently/ new games like RAGE 2, Doom Eternal etc then id be happy grabbing one off ebay.

TLDR What is cross fire/ SLI gaming like in 2019? Pros and cons, supported games list that is up to date etc. Thanks in advance.

this is pretty googleable but theres no reason to run crossfire anymore. save your 200$ and live with a single gpu and save for a better single one.

Not worth it.

Or at least look if the 2nd Card could work with the Games you play. Wich is probably not.

Only a hand full AAA (Shooter) Titles are supported.

Shit, these days.

Because it just does NOT work with most games you might be interested in!

If its a Ubi Game - No CF here (for the most part)

If its a japanese Game - no CF Support here either.

Sadly no.

Its the opposite.

It hardly works these days and only in a hand full games per year.
