Browsers audio drops out of sync

ant666_2

As the title states my browsers audio drops out of sync. The timing of it is random.

Things I have tried to resolve it already include

Disabling hardware acceleration

Updating nivida drivers

Updating browser

Unistallig java

Trying different resolutions.

Clearing C: space

The problem is limited to browsers (tested on Firefox and Edge) vlc works fine as does now tv (they use a proprietary player).

The only fix I have found is pausing and unpausing the video and that's only temporary, the problem comes back after a short while.

Thank you

On my tablet i have the same problem from time to times. Solution i found is to restart the tablet. Are you on a desktop computer ? wired or wifi ? what is the cpu and ram you have ?

<<If you’re watching Netflix, it’s possible that it’s still using the Silverlight plugin, rather than the HTML5 player, and this is known to cause lip-sync problems.

Alternatively, check in the Control Panel under Sound and make sure no processing or effects are enabled which could cause a delay in audio.>>

Its unlikely I'm using silver light as I haven't installed it (manually at least) this installation. I'll check for processing effects. But wouldn't that affect the whole system rather than just the browser.

Unfortunately neither of these options worked. Thank you anyway

maybe try this ?

<<I just had this problem and after three days of googling, windows tinkering and some hair pulling, I finally fixed it. It seemed that the Atheros drivers for my WiFi adapter was the culprit. Even though I use the wired Broadcom connection, it had to be fully deactivated and the drivers uninstalled to stop interfering with my sound. I hope this helps you as well.>>

Nah that didn't work either, thank you anyway. I'm just going to do a clean install
