idea for editing software For Windows

i am looking for a good edit program that is not vegas ( as it is slow), premier pro ( again slower than i would like it ) , and avid media centre does not even support files from Dxtory or shadow play which were .AVI and .MP4 so

anyone got any idea for me thanks :)

If you want to try something new.. I don't know if this is any good or not. Microsoft promoted it as the program was designed, beside for workstations, for touch screen devices like the Surface Pro 2. I had a look... too complicated for me, I really don't do this kind of stuff at all, I was more curious then anything.

It is Scratch by Assimilate http://www.assimilateinc.com/

They have other programs too, don't know which one might interest you more.
