Windows crash on startup

I put a new M5A97 R2.0 yesterday to my friends PC, I also put new corsair vengeance CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9, the rest is the same so final specs are: 

 

M5A97 R2.0

corsair vengeance CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9

Pehnom II 955

Powercolor 5000 series graohics card

2 500gb hard drives

 

I get into bios when first installed and everything's OK, I then go to load windows and it shows only the starting windows, as soon as the windows logo is about to load the computer crashes, then you have the choice of start normally or startup repair, ive tried start up repair and no errors have been found, everytime I try to load it up this happens. The hardrive was one of the original pieces so it had windows on it. Is there compatibility issues or it windows, If I have to shall I get windows 8?

Its actually a 4870 gpu

So you changed mobo? You might need to reinstall windows. Or try to launch in safe mode and remove all drivers that are left from previous mobo.
