Hp 3048h motherboard i have Hp Compaq 6000 Small Form Factor.Part number:kvr1333d3d4r9s/8g

The memory will not work in that system. According to Kingston KVR1333D3D4RS/8G is registered ECC memory. The motherboard requires non-ECC memory. http://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search/?partid=kvr1333d3d4r9s/8g

Sounds like a dead stick of ram or it's incompatible in some way? Do you have a MemOK button on your motherboard?
