Whenever I try to do updates, I always get a fail, for some reason. I install and download updates when I get the chance. I restart the PC when it says to. However, when I get to the logon screen and says, "Windows is configuring updates. Do not shut down your PC." Then it says 0% complete for minutes before it says "Failure to config updates. Reverting changes." WTF does it do this, and I need a solution, now. One of the updates is actually for my GPU, which I desperately need. Downloading it through Windows Update doesn't bog down my internet, so thats where I download it. The GPU driver will help me fix my black screen from hibernation and sleep, as people have been telling me to do. My PC is running Windows 7 Ultimate x86.

Download the drivers from the AMD/Nvidia website. You should really be running 64 bit though.

Sounds like some update has gone wrong. You need to do repair install or some other type to revert previous updates.

PS. 1h isn't really being patient is it now?

No, it fails even to download them. Update Center gives me an Error code 00080002, unknown error, as it says. Now it really frustrates the shit out of me.

Make sure to install update for all of your hardware first. Go to your GPU and motherboard manufacturer's website and install those updates and then try windows update. Unfortunately you might have had a bad install. Also, use google to find people who had similiar problems. If it happened to you then its probably happened to others. Also, dont select and update all the available updates. Just try a few at a time to see if one of them is causing the issue.
