Need Help with NAS

what hardware are you using?

 

xpenology can be picky, and id personally stay away from it for a home nas, and pick something designed for diy hardware.

hi im haveing truble with XPEnology  i was following this

and i got stuck after 16:55 cuz i got this screen

i haad 4 and i removed 2 and still nothing (when i had 4 drives it said the same thing as with 2 (picture above) but in windows all sata ports woked)

i am using celron g32584gb ddr3. any sugestions on other os

You can try unraid or freenas, or just run ubuntu server/centos.

 

What all do you want this nas to do?

i wuld like to have it as a storage so i dont need disc in my pc and also so i can acces  it from "across the world" i have tried freenas but i culdnt find tutorials with the latest versions and than i saw this.

freenas should do that just fine. Its pretty simple to just add a samba share and isntall nextcloud.

thx, do you maybe know how to set up auto torent download or is that not posible on freenas?

Currently you can use plugins for that. A few I just checked called "couch potato" and "Transmission"...
