UPS recommendations

Donut417

I recently picked up a NAS and Switch for my Plex setup + for mass network storage. Anyway Id like to put the Switch and NAS at least on a UPS. Im not sure what id be looking for in terms of load and such. I dont want to spend much money, like $50 ish max. But Im open to any suggestions. I know Im going to have a Qnap NAS, an 8 port gigabit switch. Probably have my network TV tuner plugged in as well on a non-battery port oh and my laptop, which I use for the transcoding part of Plex, but it has a built in battery. Im not looking for any ridiculous battery times either. I figure 5 mins ish. My other issue is what type of UPS. My PC has a line interactive unit, bought this because of power surges. HOWEVER, discovered a few months ago that was caused by a loose wire leading from the power poles outside to our home. That has been repaired and I have not had any issues. So I would assume a cheaper unit would be fine?

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

This is the one I personally use and it came in handy on Easter morning during a 3hr long power outage during work since I work from home. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FBK3QK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Granted, its quite overkill for you and your needs, but for me its perfect as it gives me `5hrs of run time for my LTE modem and monitors and laptop for work since I work from home and its an hour drive to the office.

Something like this would probably be perfect for you, a Surge protector with a small battery back up for you.
