So recently I was re-gifted an Amazon Echo, and while I would never use this privacy risky device, I thought that I was in a minority of an opinion.

I listed the Echo on Kijiji and thinking that I would be putting it at a good price for something that is sealed in box, I posted the ad.

After a few hours and zero visits, I looked again and realized that on all used sites like:

- Kijiji.ca

- eBay.ca

- craigslist.org

There are literally hundreds of unused, unopened Amazon Echos of all sorts of shapes and sizes.

I did a little reading and it would seem that Amazon is boasting about their sales:

Yes a link from the verge I know..

Either way there are two things from this:

1. Do not buy an Amazon Echo at full price if you really want one, there are plenty available at a decent discount online from alternate sellers like the ones above.

2. And either Amazon is lying about Echo adoption or I am seeing this from a point of statistical insignificance.

From point two, there might be something there and newsworthy, that Amazon could be dumping these things on the market to inflate sales and win mindshare for marketshare?

IDK

Also, anyone want to buy a new Echo?

(JK don't buy from me find one local to you)
