The top of the P400S isn't very restrictive for airflow. Are you using the dust filters? They should be removed if you're using the top as exhaust unless settling dust is a big issue for you. What fans are you using and what  rpm are you running them at?

The standard 120mm p400s case fans are up top and yea I removed the dust filter. I have it connected to the fan controller at the max speed.

After looking into it I am heavily considering moving this build to a Meshify C and then returning the p400s. I just wish they made a Meshify C2 thats an inch taller and longer since the biggest complaint is the length for gpus and aios, but this doesn't impact me since my 2060 is a two fan card and I only use air cooling now.

Edit; Returned P400S and got meshify C dark TG

Should I have 5 intake fans and 1 exhaust like the photo attached? Or leave the two top fans as exhaust? The CPU cooler is the 212 black edition with the fan pointed towards the back with the exhaust fan leveled with it exactly.

I was asking this because when I was using my pc I put my hand over the top exhaust fans and couldn't feel any airflow even when changing the fan speed. I double checked the orientation of the fans and even the arrow on the fans itself and they are set to exhaust. This got me thinking that I had negative airflow since the front of my P400S case I have has smaller intake vents than the other parts of the case so it was exhausting more than intaking.

Edit: Phanteks P400S case with a R5 2600 and rtx 2060. I plan on OC a bit soon too

What case?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

With the closed off front there's basically no point in having fans in the front, so most likely just make the top pure intake with just 2 fans and leave the rest of the case to exhaust itself

Gotcha. Ill change the top to intakes. Since every fan slot is filled I think ill just leave the front 3 fans as is. I still feel the airflow from putting my hands near the front vents and I can always take the front panel off if temps get hot.

I would have highly suggested a case with a mesh front so that you actually have airflow.

But the middle fan in the front for sure isn't going to get any air.

They have a review for basically the same case here with lots of thermal testing.

I just made this build recently so i should be within the refund period. If i do go that route which would be a recommended case? I heard of the Meshify C Dark TG? I could go up to probably $100 since i saved a bunch from price matching post build with my credit card. Then again it would also mean taking apart the whole build and redoing but if it means the pc will be better off for a couple more years then I'm all for it since a case isn't something people normally upgrade regularly unlike a cpu or gpu where it gets out of date.

Anything with a mesh front would be fine in that case, depends on the budget, and if you want anything in particular. The Coolermaster H500 with it's 2 200mm fans is my favorite.
