weird lag/disconnects

Issue seems to happen every hour or so.  I'll try to load a page and it will just "spin" for like 20 seconds before finally loading.. during this time i also notice my Steam chat disconnects.. I'm using a wired connection directly to my modem. any ideas how i can figure out what the underlying issue is? Thanks

Are you on wireless? Can you still ping your router during these outages?

What other devices are on your network?  Do you have QOS enabled in the router settings?

I noticed my cat chewed up my ethernet cable... new cat6 came in today and have had no issues as of yet.. hopefully that was the issue
