So I finally completed my first gaming build. Here's the rig specs right off the bat:

ASUS ROG Strix b450f gaming MOBO

16gb ddr4 Corsair Vengeance LPX

Ryzen 1600 CPU with stock Wraith Stealth Cooler

ROG Strix RX570 Graphics Card

500gb WD Blue SSD

EVGA 80+ Bronze Non Modular 650w PSU

NZXT H500 Case

I am having issues with the PC posting. Everything turns on normally, all the fans spin, the light even blinks on my USB boot drive. I just can't get a display on my monitor. I did a handful for troubleshooting already i.e. switched around the memory into different channels and they're back installed into the proper dimms according the MOBO manual. I also tried my graphics card in a different PCIe slot, checked all the power cables. All that led me to attempting to clear my CMOS. Following the instructions of my manual, I tried both touching the jumper pins with a metal object (I used a screwdriver because I don't have a jumper cap. After that didn't work, I attempted again by removing the CMOS battery and touching the jumper pins again. I still get no display on my monitor. I'm a stumped noob. If anyone has any ideas of what I could try next... please let me know. Greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try removing your GPU and connecting your display to your integrated graphics, if it works you know its down to the GPU.

One Love.

The 1600 doesn't have integrated graphics... So it will not work without a GPU.

If the computer fully powers on but you aren't getting any display make sure you're display cable is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard. I would also try reseating the ram, I dont know if it's just the picture or not but the ram looks like it's installed in slots 1 and 4, depending on the motherboard there could be specific ram slots you need to have the modules in. Generally it's 2 and 4. I would check that as well.

Thanks for the tip. It was just the picture. I had the memory installed in slots 2 and 4 as per the mobo manual. But slotting my hdmi cable into the gpu got the pc to post to bios. Now I’m just going through the windows boot. This newb is grateful for your advice.
