So I just finished putting together a new PC for my parents however it won't post.

When I press the power button the fans start up and the light on the case comes on.

If I remove the RAM I get 3 beeps from the motherboard so I assume it isn't dead.

Any ideas on what is wrong?

Specs? Gonna need a lot more information than just "it doesn't work." Do you know if the monitor is working? If there is a GPU, try it without.

A no post will be a pain to Diag.

It might just be a small oversight.

Did you go into the bios and set the ram speed and timing?

I will be going back round later so I will post a picture then.

I can't get in to the Bios because it won't post.

Perhaps it is the memory, I will try swapping it out later?

I had a no post in my Server when I was upgrading ram. With 2 sticks it doesn't boot. With the previous 2 sticks it does so I know the slots are working.

So I try each stick separately and with one stick of ram it would boot. Switch ram and it would no longer boot.

If the kit uses 2 sticks then try different sticks. If its a single 4GB stick then try a different ram stick.

Is the CPU power connected?

Yes, I definitely checked that quite a few times.
