So my system is currently fine running 2 screens atm. But im looking to upgrade to 4k on at least one of them. My question is, would i see a performance increase on my main screen if i was to run the second screen off my motherboard, and are there any cons to doing this. My mind tells me this is a good idea to boost frames and overall gaming performance but my cynical side says there has to be a catch. Im running a 9700k (not currently overclocked) 16gb 3200mhz ram, rtx 2080 msi trio gpu and an 850 p2 evga psu. O and im running dual 32's one at 60hz one at 144hz 1080p

Thanks in advance for any tips.

I wouldn't say it would make a notable difference and it could make things worse as the processing power for the motherboard graphics comes from the cpu so you woul just be shifting the load elsewhere. You would be better off in gaming if you made sure the second screen isn't outputting anything as that removes the load.
