I purchased two RGB fans, I cant figure out how to install them. They have a four pin connector which I have connected to the motherboard but they also have a 3 pin connector, I cant figure out where this goes, I tried booting my PC with just the four pin's connected  but they didn't spin however they showed up in my motherboard BIOS. Any help and advice is appreciated.

i'm pretty sure the 4 pin is the rgb (red, green, blue, negative) which would go into an rgb header on the motherboard & the 3 pin is the power connector that would go into a regular fan header

Yes I agree but the four pin only fits into the sys fan headers on the motherboard. Unless the four pin connects into the PSU.

I have the Gigabyte aorus elite if that helps.

What, so CPU header doesnt work with its 4pin? Maybe it's a 3pin DC fan then (so not 4pin PWM)

I thought the 4 pin was supposed to connect to sys fan header.

I don't understand sorry, I'm pretty new to computers.

You're going to have to explain further in depth.

What do you suggest? I don't understand please can you explain in depth im pretty new to PC gaming.

If it's 3 pin DC fan then where does it need connecting?

Also where will the 4 pin RGB cable need connecting?

sorry for the late response, can you send a picture of the connections for the fans?

Again, i assume the 4 pin fits into an rgb header and the 3 pin is for DC power which fits on a chassis fan header, but i'm not familiar with the fans
