Hey everyone,

I'm wondering what you guys think about buying a current haswell cpu or waiting for the Q22014 refresh. My main concern is if I buy a haswell now, will the refresh still be on the LGA1150? Any other information would be great thanks.

I hope for a new AMD socket

Well... you could wait for the refresh and see how much the performance is improved and stuff. And after that, the prices of haswell might drop a little, to the point where you could get a good processor and motherboard combo for a good price.

broadwell is on the lga 1150 but weirdly enough is not compatible on the lga 1150 which means a new mobo

Exactly. Broadwell doesn't work on the current LGA1150 boards but will work with the new upcoming boards and Haswell CPU's will work on the new boards.

Nobody has asked what you currently have??
If you have performance below a 2600K or then upgrade.
But if you are on 2600K or above then maybe put the money towards a better GPU.
just my 2cents :)

There is always going to be something better around the corner.
I waited for the 4960X and was disappointed, I should have got my 3970X sooner. Hindsight aye.
