The price difference between the two is small but the performance difference is large. Definitely get the 2200g.

Go to for memory is anything 3200MHz CL14 16GB 2x8GB Kit
If you want more than 32GB of memory get a 2x16GB 3000MHz kit (Which I personally did)

Am I crazy for not wanting to pair high end B-Die memory with a low-end processor like R3 2200G, or even a mid-range one like R5 2600?

I would but also wouldn't you can search online for a Ryzen Memory info list on reddit. The people over there did a list on a majority of the memory people are using for DDR4 My set was 175$ USD for 3000MHz CL15 2x16GB

Samsung B-Die memory is some of the best quality, best performing RAM on the market. I think any 3200 MHz CL14 RAM is going to be Samsung B-Die.

It's also more expensive than cheaper RAM, maybe 40% more than 3200MHz CL16 RAM. It's better stuff, but if I had $60 to spend I think I would put that towards a better CPU like R5 2400G or a R5 2600 instead of B-Die RAM.
