I'm looking at building a budget PC only for web browsing and youtube/netflix with some parts i have lying around and used parts I can pick up on my local used marketplace (Carousell Singapore).

System doesn't have to be powerful or anything, will only be used lightly for youtube/netflix while my main rig (i9-9900k, 32GB RAM, GTX1080) is rendering in Premiere, After Effects, Houdini, Maya or whatever I happen to be working on at that time.

I would also like to know if I would really need a graphics card for youtube/netflix, or if the IGPU is enough. The PC will be plugged into one of my 1440p displays, so it must be able to output smooth 1440p. I can pick up a used GTX 1050 for 100SGD/73USD or GTX 950 for 70SGD/52USD if needed. Or are there any other even cheaper GPUs you guys can recommend?

Also can anyone tell me the difference between a B85, H81 or H97 board? I know you can't overclock on any of them but is there a benefit in getting one over another for a non-K processor? (I know I can probably overclock the G3258, but will it gain me alot of performance for tasks like youtube/netflix?

Below are the Parts I'm thinking of. Do let me know if i should change out any parts or if those prices are awfully high.

Intel Pentium G3258 ($0, I have it lying around)

Intel Stock Cooler (5SGD 4USD, I don't have one for some reason)

WD Green 120GB SSD (30SGD 22USD, new from a shop)

You could probably grab a used 750TI on the cheap if you want to ensure good performance at 1440p with what you're gonna be doing, while keeping extra spending at a minimum.

I'm not sure how capable the iGPU in the Pentium G3258 is, but for peace of mind I'd just go with a cheap low profile card that can just run on power from the PCIe slot.

New Build (The Compromise): CPU - i7 9700K @ 5.1Ghz Mobo - ASRock Z390 Taichi | RAM - 16GB G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 3200CL14 @ 3466 14-14-14-30 1T | GPU - ASUS Strix GTX 1080 TI | Cooler - Corsair h100i Pro | SSDs - 500 GB 960 EVO + 500 GB 850 EVO + 1TB MX300 | Case - Coolermaster H500 | PSUEVGA 850 P2 | Monitor - LG 32GK850G-B 144hz 1440p | OSWindows 10 Pro.

Peripherals - Corsair K70 Lux RGB | Corsair Scimitar RGB | Audio-technica ATH M50X + Antlion Modmic 5 |

CPU/GPU history: Athlon 6000+/HD4850 > i7 2600k/GTX 580, R9 390, R9 Fury > i7 7700K/R9 Fury, 1080TI > Ryzen 1700/1080TI > i7 9700K/1080TI.

Other tech: Surface Pro 4 (i5/128GB), Lenovo Ideapad Y510P w/ Kali, OnePlus 6T (8G/128G), PS4 Slim.

You can get  a fanless amd card to eliminate the noise. There are some amd cheap used cards without fans that will work just fine.
