This is my first time buidling a pc, and I was wondering if the parts I chose were okay.

Around 950 euros is my budget.

Thanks in advance

Pretty solid AMD build.

You might want to up to a 500GB SSD if you can.  Unless you are VERY strict with your file management, windows can fill things up pretty quick.

Is the Fatboy a good buy right now?  Vega 56 is just a bit more and a lot more powerful.  At least here in the states.

Just things to consider.

Honestly, don't know why people keep paying so much for the 970 EVO when there are same performing SATA drives for double the space.  You can even get 1TB SSD for that price!!!

Also, you really only need 256 for a boot drive really if you're just gaming.   I am only using 64GB of my C drive for Windows, Office 365, all the launchers, and a few other apps.  Game libraries are on the other SSD set.

I'd either go with a 256 SATA SSD for boot, or just buy a 1TB SSD and put it all on there and lose the HDD.

Not a fan of Gigabyte. Had a motherboard of them, and it literally fell apart while building.

Similar for Samsung. I'd swap out Samsung for a regular SSD, from Kingston for example. I'd keep the HDD though, especially for larger games that can take a lot of space (e.g. BF1).

Tbh, I've never heard of SeaSonic so can't say anything about their PSU. Have you checked the wattage for your build?

Be Quiet! for example has a Power Supply calculator: https://www.bequiet.com/en/psucalculator
(not saying you have to get one of their brand, but can help to check to see if you are in the ballpark or need to go up (or down))

I like the combi of the Ryzen 7 and the GPU. You could check some YouTube videos to see how they fair (together). That can give you some idea too. I'm not familiar with the exact specs and performance, but the look decent at first glance.

Would the B450 Gaming plus make a better motherboard?

The calculator says it would require around 400 watts, but Im rather save than sorry.

Thank y'all for your input

Edit: the vega 56 is around 70/80 bucks more expensive which is a bit too much.

Maybe, it is definitely cheaper, but it only has one PCI slot for example, which could hurt expansion.

I was just looking at the ASUS Prime X370 PRO, that is around the same price range, and comes with a solid feature set:
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/PRIME-X370-PRO/

I've only read one review of it though, which was positive.

As for MSI boards, made a quick selection of Asus and MSI motherboards on partspicker around your price range:
https://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/#s=33&f=2&X=0,12535&sort=-price&m=8,27

I've had several MSI boards and love them, don't know too much about ASUS.

Things I would look for:

1. Build quality

2. Power handling, can it handle gaming

3. Fan header amount (Edit: although you can add a fan controller later if needs be for example)

4. PCI-E slots, do you want to use multiple GPU at some point, then from what I know the second PCI should at least be x8, x4 will bottleneck (but this may have changed)

5. Amount of memory, should at least be 16gb

Edit: feel free to look at other brands too, maybe other people have suggestions as well of course :)
