Since you picked an ITX build I'm obligated to appear

Also why go with a 9700k in a locked motherboard? An 8700k doesn't have much slower turbo.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

1. Dont like mITX towers myself, too big to be worth the hassle to use a small board and hurt graphics card thermals.

2. This board doesnt support overclocking, making the K sku CPU pointless

3. Rather disappointing 240mm cooler. Yes it's cheap, but noise and cooling arent that good either. Especially on a case big enough to hold big air coolers like the be quiet Dark Rock Pro 4

4. Sandisk SSD Plus is terribly slow by SATA SSD standards, only slightly better than the "shame of SATA SSD you can still buy", the WD Green SSD (which is already hard to find)

The i7-9700K is an unlocked processor. If you want to overclock you must use a Z370 or Z390 motherboard. More importantly, this cpu needs much better VRMs than ost B360 motherboards have just for normal, unthrottled operation.

If you want to stick with that motherboard, consider an i7-8700.

The WD Blue M.2 drive is SATA III. You might as well get the 2.5" version.

Instead of the H200i, you might consider the H200. The motherboard should be able to handle the case fans.

I'd suggest a better psu. Something like a Corsair RMX or Seasonic Focus Plus Gold. Something around 650W is more than enough capacity.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

If high fps gaming isn't the primary focus, AMD would be a much better choice. Although with ITX being the form factor, I can't make any recommendations. I would also suggest going for a NVMe M.2 over a very small Sata M.2 and another Sata ssd except in 2.5". Newegg has had constant sales on 1TB OEM 960 Pro(SM961) M.2 drives.

I would also greatly recommend a much better, modular power supply preferably 80 Plus Gold. Seasonic, EVGA and Corsair all have great power supplies in that segment, whichever brand is your preference or whichever is on sale is usually what you'll want.

I'll also be that guy who's gonna tell you Zen 2 is coming soon and AMD is said to be doubling the core counts. Single thread performance is rumored to increase 15% on top of that. If you don't need an upgrade now, waiting on sales as they come and feeling out what AMD releases this summer with Zen 2 and Navi can't hurt.
