if you increase the voltage, your cpu will draw more power. More power means more heat, which means it gets hotter, if you don't step up your cooling

Intel CPUs also have the problem of having thermal paste between the CPU die and the heat spreader.

if you delid your CPU and then replace the thermal paste with liquid metal, you will get temps that are at least 10°C lower.

if you don't want to delid your cpu you should step down your oc or get a even stronger cooler

I totally agree with the delid part but a 360mm AIO is not strong enough? Also it seems that only Prime 95 will make it reach 90+ games and what not are fine sitting at 60c ish

prime95 is the worst case scenario.
But my overclocked system doesn't get above 80 under prime95 and i dont think it should be any warmer

how high are your idle temps?

There was a video on ltt about aio vs air cooling which found that a 360 aio doesn't have to be the non plus ultra.
If you really want to stay at that frequency and voltage, you should either consider deliding, or building a custom loop.

If there’s a goal to having it run so high, just let it burn or get better cooling. Turned mine down at it can’t really do anything for me at 5.0 that it can’t do at 4.5.
