New GPU+RAM. Experiencing game stutters/freezes about once every 2 minute

Previous build
RX480 8GB OC slightly (can't remember numbers)
8GB 2400MHz HyperX RAM (at 2133)
Ryzen 1600 OC to 3.8 GHz
B350 Tomahawk

Current
RTX 2070 (not OC)
2x8GB 3000 MHz (at 2933)
Ryzen 1600 (no OC)
B350 Tomahawk

Sorry can't remember my PSU. I only remember it's microcenter brand, bronze rating, and between 550-650 W

Old build I had 0 issues in Apex Legends. Now, as I mentioned, run into stutters and freezes pretty frequently. It happens in Sekiro and Borderlands 2 as well.

I have tried different NVidia drivers (all after using DDU), changing graphic settings in game, shutting off overlays, running ISLC, ensuring all drivers are up to date (including misc drivers).

if you still have old parts, try which ones cause the lags,

I suspect the ram got issue, also make sure b350 bios is updated

Ryzen loves high speed RAM, 3200 is where it near reaches it's full potential and most youtubers say that 2800mhz is the bare minimum to see worthwhile preformance.
Why are you running 2400mhz ram at 2133mhz? You're running near DDR3 speeds. That alone could cause stability issues as RAM is made (nowadays) to overclock, not underclock. I'd recommend resetting to 2400mhz, retesting, then even pushing to 2667mhz and running a memtest. A quick look at reviews on newegg shows that the ram easily overclocks to 2933mhz and 3000mhz.  You'll likely see your issues disappear once you dial in the ram properly.

I also agree with dgsddfgdfhgs, update your bios.

Bios is updated. I replaced the GPU Sunday, happened then. Figured it was the ram, so upgraded accordingly. It seems better, but it's probably placebo

That was my old ram. I didn't have issues with it at 2133MHz. New 3000Mhz clocking at 2933 MHz using XMP.

I'm aware that Ryzen likes the fast ram. Was my first guess to my issue and upgraded immediately

and if both of your ramsticks are properly detected, it could be the game loading in textures from the HDD. though that should create a lot of stutter.

see if you can detect significant drive usage while experiancing one of these stutters.

also check if all your ramsticks are properly detected. one of them (8gb) might be labeled as "hardware reserved" or similar in taskmanager.

I'm pretty certain they are both being registered. Also, most games are loaded onto the SSD, but I can check them

Doublecheck in taskmanager to see if they are displaying properly. Could be a result of pagefiling
