Datapocalypse Coming Soon?!

iKingRPG

Basically I am worried since image and video files are only getting larger we will end up at a point where the demand for storage is too high. Like worse than the 2017-18 GPU price nightmare. Also ISPs might struggle from file sizes increasing since it will be harder to give speeds to people. And no compression will save us. It will happen. You have been warned. Buy drives while they are dirt cheap so you are effected less.

And while you're at it, buy some gold for the inevitable government collapse

Data optimization is still a thing, and network speeds have a long way to go until they can't continue. Technological advancements in storage density like QLC nand will reduce the price of storage as it comes out, since we now have avenues for cheaper SSDs and can still scrounge up budget hard drives.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

You aren't accounting for hardware being cheaper to manufacture as time goes on.

high demand = competitive market = competitive pricing
