I have a major problem with my computer.

It's a windows 10, asus Rog strix x370-f mobo, amd ryzen 3 1200 cpu (overclocked) , 8gb geil super luce ram, and corsair force mp500 m.2 SSD.

Last night it was working perfectly fine. This morning, when I saw my computer, it was booted into Debian (which I have on a separate hard drive). I had setup the bios that Debian was the 2nd boot option after windows, so that meant my computer had rebooted, windows failed, and it went to Debian.

I rebooted, went into the bios, and selected the windows drive to boot directly into. It worked no problem. Once in windows, I checked the reliability monitor and it said that there was some updates last night, and then for this morning it said there was an unexpected reboot. Also, I noticed the system time was off. I changed the time back to normal, and then on a guess, reboot again and went to the bios to see if the system time was off. It wasn't, but when I tried booting back into windows, it simply didn't work.

Now, after many, many reboots, some ending in BSODs (more often error code BAD SYSTEM CONFIG INFO, and twice SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED), some going into windows recovery mode, where doing most everything short of resetting the computer not working, and some boots just quitting before anything loaded, I am at my wits end. I tried reseating the ram and ssd, and nothing worked. I can get to my bios and to windows recovery, but nothing else (I can get to Debian if needed).

I really don't want to reset my computer, being that I have a lot of stuff and settings I want to keep. I also didn't pull out the cmos battery for the same reason.

I'm all out of ideas, so any help you guys can think of would be greatly appreciated. I would also really like to figure out what caused this in the first place.

when you get into windows, open command prompt in admin mode and type in sfc /scannow and let it run. It will take a few minutes, somewhere between 15-30 on average to check everything.

It said "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation" after it finished the verification phase.

Also set system defaults in BIOS.  It could be your OC causing issues.

Didn't work - got another bsod for bad system config info.
