What are you using it for? If you are gaming and buying a GPU get a Athlon X4 750K. If you want it for regular browsing and some gaming get the A10-6800K.

Passmark has the i3 listed 400 points ahead, but that number if from the average of OC'd and stock results, so it's a "more accurate" result. There are better AMD options for the price. Checkout passmark high end cpu chart and also check the best for $ section. That page will give you a good idea on where to look.

The Athlon 760K, as I was informed yesterday, has Richland APU performance without the IGP. And that's if he's are going with an FM2/+ chipset, which benefits from having mini-ITX options as well as it's a newer platform.

The 750K is the same thing but slightly lower clocked.

Are you positive? There was a rant on another topic yesterday that stated the 750K has the Trinity CPU and the 760K had the Richland.

 

Edit: Newegg lists 750K=Trinity, 760K=Richland. Two different architectures. The difference is not the binning.

Yup, they are the same CPU but with a different with a different clock.

if you are just gaming try to get FX 6300 it is a great cpu and you will love it

Actually you are right. I found that even though they have different names(Trinity/Richland), they are both Piledriver x86 architecture. I thought that the Trinitys were Bulldozer. For example, if the box says "Kaveri", you'd expect it to have steamroller modules. Excuse me for that.
