So I am probably going an i9 (been waiting to save the funds for a while and will hopefully be there in the next few weeks, and have moved from a 8th gen i5 to a 9th gen i7 then now on the 9900K, and a 2070 to 2080)

I was origionally going to go for the A40 Ultimate but after watching a lot of videos they say that the CPU runs really hot (but they do overclock them), so i am looking at a AIO CPU cooler that will be able to keep it cool without overclocking the card (as base speeds along with the turbo frequency seem quite nice as is)

What 9th gen i7 did you have before getting the 9900k?

the 9700K, would it be worth going back to it, I only switched as i found a bundle that gave me the i9 for just over $200 AUD more?

As i did want this PC to eat everything that i throw at it without needing to take its time like my 4th gen i5

(Also I do want to stick clear of overclocking)

When i think about liquid cooler, i think about should to change the water in a liquid cooler? How long the liquid cooler will be working without service/maintenance ( adding water, some checks).

Now i am going to build system with i9 9900k and i think about noctua nh-d15, i also wander will it fit the temperatures

A Noctua NH-D15 is a top tier air cooler and outside of some competitor products in this segment, you won't do better on air in that segment.

On a silent fan curve, my Ryzen 7 barely breaks 70C on a full synthetic load, and lately I have just let my motherboard automatically adjust the voltage, so it sits around 1.425 most of the time at load.

As for an AIO, they are not designed to be opened and they will operate fine and reliably for a long time as long as you get a major brand.

I still have my Arctic Liquid Freezer 120 on my old i5 build and have for about 3 years now with no issues.
