my friend has just bought a new pc with Windows 8.1

 

but when he wants to change password, he needs to verify his e-mail. But here there is another email which he dosent know.?

 

please help with any suggestions

I think you may need to either contact whomever he bought it from, or Format the laptop. The whole email association thing is useless waste of time.

he bought it new from the store, the email is li*****@hotmail.com

No way he bought it new from the store. Unless he or whoever set it up put that email in.

Can he just reformat the laptop? Like that would be the easiest if he doesn't know the email address.

But what about the Windows factory reset??

That works too. However the think i don't like about that is when you do that the OS still has all the OEM's Shitware on it.

It resets it to the factory image that was created by the factory. So yes. Should work fine. UNLESS the factory for some reason set them up with that email address. Which i doubt.

Worth a try. Just make sure he doesn't go and reformat and lose everything and blame it on you and I.
