I have tried everything I can think of to lock my fn key on. fn + caps lock, fn + Num Lock, fn + Scr Lock and there is no lock button on the keyboard itself. I went into my bios insydeh20 which I updated to the most recent for my laptop which is the Aspire V5-573G, there was no advanced menu to be able to enter and change it. I don't know what else to do really. such a simple thing has turned into a huge inconvenience for me, please help

FN-lock isn't Windows function. Its usually done with either firmware or BIOS/driver. If your BIOS doesn't have it, then we can't really help. You need to contact Acer's support and ask them about it.

My Lenovo doesn't have keyboard shortcut for it either, and I haven't looked if BIOS would have it.
