Hey, I'm new to the LTT forum but been following LTT for a long time and today saw the video about changing OS on a LG phone. And thought maybe LTT forum can help me out with my case..

Long time ago i deleted a google app from my LG Volt 2 (Model: LS751) and it just shut down. When i try turn it on i get authentication fail #9 and it won’t go further than LG boot logo. I know that its a cheap phone but i need a secondary phone for phone calls, i was wondering if anyone know how to fix it? I wasn’t able to install new firmware using LGs firmware application on pc

Which application did you use?

https://www.lg.com/us/support/cell-phones

This one can reformat your phone, never used LG Bridge, I've used LG Mobile Support Tool and I know that one worked great, but anyway be aware that you might lose all the data on your phone, I actually forgot but I'm pretty sure it removes everything

Might wanna go into Download Mode so you don't have to boot into the OS, and download LG drivers for that to work properly

Just install the LG drivers, there's nothing else to do, and are you aware what Download Mode is? i'm confused

yes exactly, then it seems like your PC is not recognizing the drivers correctly, not sure how to fix that it's a whole other story

Trying to figure out what it means

Possibly because you don't have native 3.0 support? try using a USB 2.0 port
