1080ti freezes system 5 mins ingame if fans not 100%

hash02

Hi,

A 1080 ti asus rog strix crashes the system (game freezes, pc unresponsive) after a few minutes if fans are not 100% in afterburner.

Windows10 latest updates, drivers etc. clean install. temps reach 72 C max. with fans maxed or set to auto. so I doubt it's a thermal issue but i'm really puzzled by this. any hints ?

Is it a used card? Might want to redo the thermal paste.
