dark rock pro 4, nhd15 or a 280+mm aio I'd say

Dark Rock Pro 4 is pretty awesome, looks good, it's quiet, it's powerful, will last forever. Air Coolers are less compromising than AIO's since you are either sending warm air to your GPU or warm air into the radiator.

nhd15 performs a little little better, but yeah

not everyone likes the colour of performance

I love Noctua's performance, but I don't like their aesthetic.  Normally I would pick performance over aesthetics, but so many cases have tempered glass and the difference is slight.

I've just built a 8086k with a 1080ti that's cooled with a Fluidgaming open loop cooler from EKWB.

I have a 360mm in front and a 120mm in the back all intakes.

Damn that Looks crazy is it a lot more beneficial than just a cpu cooler? I am next month looking to get a 2080ti.

It's a lot of work, costs more than just using an AIO, and it can be a pain in the butt, but you get great cooling and you won't have the compromise with mixing air (GPU) and liquid cooling.  Honestly it's difficult to justify liquid cooling, but once I put a kit together, installed it and got it going I'm pretty happy with the performance and temperatures.  I'm doing it again with my next computer build, too.

You'd be fine with the X72, too.

Check out the EK fluid gaming website and see what you think.

Yeah I’ll for sure look into it but I’m fairly new to pc so that just might be a little too complicated for now haha. Also what about the h150i pro? From Corsair

Both NZXT and Corsair make quality AIO's and they both perform close enough to just pick the one that looks better to you and has features you want.   Why are you going with liquid cooling over an air cooler?  I know you want a liquid cooler, but if you are new to building computers an air cooler will be much easier to install than a massive AIO.  It's a backplate, the cooler itself, the fan (or two) and the cables to power those fans.  With a 360 AIO you have to attach the backplate, CPU block, fans to the radiator, radiator to the case, then connect all the fans to your motherboard and pump into your motherboards pump header.   Both are something you'll only do once, however.
