TheBean

i am going to buy earphones w/ aptX-LL. i just want to clarify something.

does the host also need to support aptX-ll? I want to pair those with my laptop and use it for gaming.

my laptop netowrk card is the intel 9560 (bt 5.0) and the earphones I will buy is the soundpeats engine.

Both devices need to support the aptX codec

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

so the earphones that have the LL feature will not work with my laptop then? that sucks.... that was the whole reason to buy them

  • 1 year later...

If you have an Intel Bluetooth/WiFi adapter you can download "Intel 8260 Bluetooth Audio Application" from Dell's website.  It works on my homebrew PC with a standard Gigabyte motherboard (GA-Z170n-gaming5)
